Antonio Jesús Fernández García graduated in Technical Engineering in Computer Science and in Computer Science Engineering, where his Final Project qualified with honors. He studied in FH NordAkademie, a prestigious private university in Germany, while he was on Erasmus in Hamburg for a year. During the last year of his degree, he worked as a new technologies consultant in an industrial design company, Cadia Ingenieria. At the same time, he worked as a research collaborator with the Department of Languages and Computation of the University of Almeria with a Ministry of Education and Science grant. Later, he moved to Cork in Ireland, where he worked for Stremcom, an ISP company which provides internet and communication services in Ireland and UK. Back in Spain, he was in charge of the project and innovation management of Novateq, a R+D+i company from Almeria where he developed professionally. In 2009, he founded Alborada Ingeniería Tecnológica, a company that develops advanced software for companies while carrying out consultancy reports and judicial valuations. At present, he is a research member of the TIC-211 Research Group "Applied Computing" of the University of Almeria. His research work brought him to the Penn State University (Pennsylvania, United States), where he collaborated in the development of his doctoral thesis focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This thesis, titled “A Recommender System for Smart User Interfaces using Machine Learning and Microservices”, was read in March 2019 with “cum laude” distinction. He has participated in a national research project (ref: TIN2013-41579-R), a national research project on knowledge transfer to companies (ref.Tra2009-0309) and a regional research project (ref.P10-TIC6114). His research interests include: Machine Learning, Recommendation System, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Digital Transformation and Computing applied to the Company.
